Things I have done/have happened to me:
-I mailed five letters.
-I called the financial people to find where my check was.
-I did two loads of laundry including my sheets. Meaning I had to take everything off my bed and need to make it all over again.
-I found a spider on my wall. While trying to kill it with a Kleenex it got on to my hand and I threw it somewhere in my room... don't tell Heather.
-I went to all my classes today!
-I threw away my favorite pair of jeans because they got a hole in an unfortunate spot. But I wore new pair of jeans which I can already tell are my new favorite. From Target, on clearance for $12! So I guess it makes up for it.
-I am making cupcakes for fhe tonight and they only have a pan for six cupcakes so I have to make a bunch of batches.
-I mailed my broken straightener back home so that they can get me a new one because it is still under warranty. And here is where my real adventure (struggle?) begins. I go to the Wilk to get an umbrella because we are suppose to get thunderstorms this week. And oh boy did we. Right when I leave the Wilk with my newly purchased umbrella it starts raining. Good timing right? Well that is what I thought. But unfortunately I didn't bring a purse or backpack up to the Wilk. I had my keys, phone, wallet and now my umbrella all to juggle. I unwrap my umbrella and now I have the umbrella cover and trash to carry too. And I have been trying to call my mom. I throw away the trash and stick the umbrella cover in my back pocket. Slightly better. Now I am trying to balance talking on the phone in one hand and holding my keys, wallet and umbrella in the other. I am SURE I looked crazy trying to get everything figured out. I finally got it to work though and continue my walk back to the dorms. It starts storming even crazier and somehow, while still talking to my mom, I drop my phone. More like it flies out of my hand and everything falls out. My phone is now is three pieces on the wet ground getting rained on. I pick it up and try to dry it off. It then starts dooowwwnnn pouring. I get my phone together and turn it on to make sure it works. Luckily it does. When I am almost to the dorms the wind goes crazy and makes my umbrella do the unfortunate inside out trick. Twice. I am finally back though, and out of my wet jeans, shoes and socks. So much for the sunny 80 degree days.
I cannot imagine what the rest of the day has in store for me.
Rainy day at byu
Can you see my keys, wallet and umbrella all in one hand? And my jeans were soaked.
Outside of my window. Does not show how stormy it actually was.
I can't stop laughing...struggles for sure! I was laughing on the phone when you were describing your day to me (in between my work calls and you dropping your phone!) but this is 100 times funnier (and with pictures too!). PS Mr. Spider, come out, come out wherever you are...
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising how big Utah raindrops are. When it rains it POURS! And wind....Well, Portland doesn't compare! Thanks for sharing your 'fun' day.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you work?
