Claire came and visited. We went to her old room only to find out no one lived there this year! She told the girls on the floor that it was haunted haha.

Heather and I decorated our door today! Our hall is having a contest. If you want to watch the movie it is on hulu: http://www.hulu.com/watch/188640/its-the-great-pumpkin-charlie-brown
Talking about movies, I watched Inception for the first time tonight in the dollar theater. You must see it if you haven't yet. It will blow your mind and is so visually interesting. I could watch it again right now.

Smashburger! I had never been before but I liked it very much!
I got the chicken fingers, of course, Heather got the grilled cheese and Natalie got the chili dog. And yes, we did go to a burger place and no one got a burger.
So Natalie, Heather and I went to Target and Platos Closet today. I got these amazing shoes at Platos for only $12! They are my new favorite high heels.
Also, I never know how excited I could be to go to Target until today. I seriously felt like it was such a treat. Depending on someone for a ride is a hard thing to do. I having my own car to drive places!

Do you think this is an okay titled for my American Heritage paper? I think my TA Philbot will like it haha.

More snow on the mountains.
This is to show that yes, it is still October but we got snow today.

P.S I got to see Alexis Wood today! She is in town from Byu Hawaii to drop her brother off at the MTC! We went to her Grandparents house in Payson and had dinner and watched Shutter Island on Clear Play because we weren't able to make it to a haunted house which has been our tradition the past few years. It was a good day!

Heather and I got a Halloween care package! Thanks family!

Watching the Oregon Ducks ranked #2 dominate while I did my American Heritage reading. They played so well and won 60-13. I would say that is impressive. I was glad ESPN was had the game available to watch online! I didn't get much reading done though.

Bathroom eh? This is actually my favorite bathroom on campus. Is that weird I have a favorite bathroom? It is just always so nice and clean. Even though I am not a communication major, the Brimhall treats me well.
Before. She's a Gypsy. We took about 20+ photos and they all looked bad or were blurry. We probably were in there for a good 5 minutes trying to get a good one.
After.

And yes, I could have taken pictures at Natalie's desk where there were actually Halloween decorations. No, I did not think of it at that time. But I went and visited Natalie at work today where they had a party for Halloween. Yummy food was also provided.

Heather tried to sneak up on me while we were studying. This is the result.

For FHE we had a contest to sculpt what we are thankful for. Mitchell and I sculpted the Cannon Center. Can't you tell? You can see all the stations and even outdoor patio part. We ended up losing to a shoe though.
Read the swimming part. It was in my child development text book. It makes me laugh every time I read it. Later it said, "The swimming reflex helps a baby who is accidentally dropped into water stay afloat." Uhhh whhaaattt?!

American heritage movie about the constitution.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

My attempt to read a book on James Madison. I am on page 87 and need to read to page 123 by my American Heritage lab on Friday. My professor pretty much loves James Madison. I then eventually need to go back and read the chapters that were suppose to be done before. I think I am on page 28. It is such a blasted book. And I don't use the word blasted ever so you know it is serious business.

Piano recital for my intro to music class.

Monday, October 11, 2010

Long story short(ish), there is this girl in my Book of Mormon class whose dad paints pictures and one of them was in the powerpoint our teacher used. She told her dad this and he offered to give prints to the entire class. Which is probably over a hundred people. He even came to our class to delivery them and talk to us. This painting took him over a thousand hours and is Lehi's vision. Painting isn't even his job he is a MD and from Pendleton, Oregon. I love byu and awesome people.

Some of the girls on my floor walked to the temple today. While there we saw literally hundreds of missionaries.
Just bucket loads of them coming from the MTC to take pictures and such.
I have never seen so many missionaries in my life. The amount of missionaries I saw in this one afternoon beats the amount I have ever seen in my whole life put together. I would have taken a picture of the multitude of them but I thought that would be a little weird.

BYU game today. We were even in the lucky section that got free stuff.
It was perfect weather for football. And we won so it was overall a double win day.

Friday, October 8, 2010

This came off a tree. I was kinda in shock.
This was on Kelsey's refrigerator :)

Also, I almost forgot to blog tonight. It is 2:30am on a Friday night but I still did it!

True Blue Football today! Basically a slip in slide in blue foam. It is part of homecoming week.
At the bottom of the slip-in-slide the blue foam was up to my ankles. You could  lay down in it and be covered.
It was so fun even though we had to wait in the rain and cold.

Later in the night a wicked awesome thunderstorm came. I was watching chuck on Hulu and I turned off all the lights and opened up the blinds and watched it. I wish we had more thunderstorms in Oregon.

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

It has only been raining here but you can see
a little bit of snow on the top of the mountain.

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

I was sick today and of course that means I played the game Unblock Me. It is a slight obsession.
I have done all 400 levels of beginner and now I am on advanced.
I usually play during class (I am such a good student obviously) and on long car rides.
And yes, I know this is a sad thing to be proud of but I am over it.

What a day it has been. And it is not even 4:00pm yet. I have done so much and so many crazy things have happened. This is a cause for a longer post.
Things I have done/have happened to me:
-I mailed five letters.
-I called the financial people to find where my check was.
-I did two loads of laundry including my sheets. Meaning I had to take everything off my bed and need to make it all over again.
-I found a spider on my wall. While trying to kill it with a Kleenex it got on to my hand and I threw it somewhere in my room... don't tell Heather.
-I went to all my classes today!
-I threw away my favorite pair of jeans because they got a hole in an unfortunate spot. But I wore new pair of jeans which I can already tell are my new favorite. From Target, on clearance for $12! So I guess it makes up for it.
-I am making cupcakes for fhe tonight and they only have a pan for six cupcakes so I have to make a bunch of batches.
-I mailed my broken straightener back home so that they can get me a new one because it is still under warranty. And here is where my real adventure (struggle?) begins. I go to the Wilk to get an umbrella because we are suppose to get thunderstorms this week. And oh boy did we. Right when I leave the Wilk with my newly purchased umbrella it starts raining. Good timing right? Well that is what I thought. But unfortunately I didn't bring a purse or backpack up to the Wilk. I had my keys, phone, wallet and now my umbrella all to juggle. I unwrap my umbrella and now I have the umbrella cover and trash to carry too. And I have been trying to call my mom. I throw away the trash and stick the umbrella cover in my back pocket. Slightly better. Now I am trying to balance talking on the phone in one hand and holding my keys, wallet and umbrella in the other. I am SURE I looked crazy trying to get everything figured out. I finally got it to work though and continue my walk back to the dorms. It starts storming even crazier and somehow, while still talking to my mom, I drop my phone. More like it flies out of my hand and everything falls out. My phone is now is three pieces on the wet ground getting rained on. I pick it up and try to dry it off. It then starts dooowwwnnn pouring. I get my phone together and turn it on to make sure it works. Luckily it does. When I am almost to the dorms the wind goes crazy and makes my umbrella do the unfortunate inside out trick. Twice. I am finally back though, and out of my wet jeans, shoes and socks. So much for the sunny 80 degree days.

I cannot imagine what the rest of the day has in store for me.
Rainy day at byu
Can you see my keys, wallet and umbrella all in one hand? And my jeans were soaked.
Outside of my window. Does not show how stormy it actually was.

Sunday, October 3, 2010

I was lucky enough to go to conference today for the first time. It was an amazing experience.
It was incredible to me to think of how many people were watching and will watch that same message I was there to hear all across the world. Simply amazing.

Music store with Natalie and Heather.

Friday, October 1, 2010

I found these socks at Target for a dollar each!
Heather loves Spongebob and I got the Toy Story ones! Definitely a good buy.
