I couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was absolutely perfect. Around 75 degrees. I think that might be my favorite temperature. In between conference sessions we went to the park to play baseball. The after conference we had a barbecue! How great is that?! First BBQ of the season. Such a blissful Saturday.

The weather was perfect. The colors were amazing. The crowd was exciting. I loved the Festival of Colors! This event happens every year at the Holi Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. It is fun to experience to cultures and to celebrate how awesome life is in color! Basically, you get packets of powdered chalk and throw it everywhere and on anyone. There is a time where everyone gathers in front of the temple and you throw the chalk up at the same time. You feel like you are going to die from inhaling smoke. It was so amazing though. Almost like the world is ending because you can barely see the person next to you, the sun is covered, and it is dark and foggy. Such a cool experience!
Here is a cool video from last year's festival.

Today our Family Home Evening emergency preparedness person knocked on our door 15 minutes before our activity was suppose to start and said that there was a "fire drill" and that we had 5 minutes to meet at the local church building with one important item. Sarah was in the shower and yelled at us to save ourselves. My apartment obviously took this very seriously with our one item.

Sister Beck, the General Relief Society President for my church, came to talk to just our stake. I am so overwhelmed with how lucky I am to be a BYU student and to hear from these wonderful people. I feel so blessed. She is such an amazing woman and had some really uplifting and inspiring things to talk about!
Heather went home to California this weekend for a wedding and has been gone too long. This is our excitement that she is only a half hour away!

It's St. Patrick's Day so my day obviously needed to be filled with green. So we went to a BYU baseball game on green grass. We also played catch later and I forgot how much I miss doing that. I mean, I only played softball one or two seasons when I was younger but it is still always fun to put on a mitt and play with some friends.
And then to top it off we had some green hot chocolate too!

Today was my wonderful friend David Covey's birthday as well as the day before St. Patrick's Day so we have a fun time celebrating both! I made it to the final four of 32 people in a potato peeling competition and there was some Irish jig going on! I may have sliced half my nail off while trying to peel really fast but I'll take the war wound for all the fun it was!

For family home evening night my ward went up by Midway to Soldiers Hollow. They had some Olympic events for skiing here and now it is a great place for tubing! There is even a tow rope so you do almost no work. I had such a fun time! We went down the hill in a chain, in a clump, forwards, backwards, and sideways. Then we would ride up the tow rope throwing snowballs at each other and looking at the stars. It was an amazing night.

My wonderful roommate and I took advantage of the wonderful weather again and went to the pond to feed the ducks. We had some tortillas to use and it was fun to use them like a frisbee. I think we may have clogged the stream though...our bad. Don't worry, no ducks were harmed while we were in this rebellious mood. Maybe just a little startled.

Today was a great Saturday that was filled with lots of different activities.
There was a tri-ward activity at Seven Peaks. Who doesn't like ice skating? (Besides my roommate Erin and Heather.) But especially for free!
Then we had a small freshman hall reunion! All seven of us. It was nice to catch up with people I use to pass by all the time last year!
The weather has been so incredibly beautiful as of late and so we went and enjoyed some time outside.
