First real day of our Thanksgiving break in California. We went to Griffith park and explored bat caves that have been in movies such as Star Trek and Batman. We also went to a beautiful observatory and the Santa Monica Pier. Ferris Wheels are my new favorite thing to photograph. Escape Provo and boycott turkey are in full swing.

We went to San Diego today. I was finally able to see the San Diego temple in person. I have always loved seeing the pictures so I was so excited to actually be able to visit it. I also fell in love with the San Diego zoo. I absolutely adored it.

On our last day of our escape from Provo we got to spend our morning at Laguna beach before we made the drive back. This trip was exactly what I needed. Sun, friends, and some Disney magic. I think going back to Provo will be a shock but Christmas break is only three weeks away so hopefully I can make it.

The Ryan Jones is going to Ireland to work in the Qualtrics office there for three months and so we had a sandwich smashing party for him! (He created the sandwhich smashing club). There were over two hundred sandwiches to smash. Peanut butter and jelly got everywhere!

My dad has a conference up in Salt Lake so he was able to come visit. When parents are in town that means you get fed well. So we went to Guru's and then Swig. I probably gained 5 pounds and have leftovers.

I went up to Salt Lake to go to Disney on Ice with Natalie. For free too! Perks of Natalie working for KSL. I thought it was quite humorous that I went to Disney on Ice two years in a row. Maybe it will be a new tradition.

 Today was not a good night. The Oregon Ducks lost to Stanford... two years in a row. Quite the disappointment. At least we had good food and friends to use as a coping mechanism.
